Department has an unwavering commitment to ensure the citizens of Oakland and the surrounding area have quality programs to
develop both mind and body. They include the Senior Adults Group,The Adult Art Group and many Community Events such as the Easter Egg Hunt,
Mother/Daughter Picnic, The Oakland in October Festival and the Youth Fishing Rodeo all of which
provide opportunities for the local businesses and residents to come together, whether through sponsorships, volunteering or participating,
to strengthen our community.
Community involvement is the key to achieving a high quality of life, which is the goal of the Oakland Parks, Recreation and Cultural Arts
Department. It is what makes Oakland not just a great place to own a home or start a business, but a great place to live!
